UCSB Holidays for CorporateTime Resources

UCSB holidays for your CorporateTime resource agendas are available here. Download the file containing the type of holiday (agenda, event, or both) you prefer and import it into your resource agenda. Make sure you download the correct version (v10 or v9) for the Oracle Calendar client you use. Mac users must use the v10 client and the v10 files.

Detailed instructions are located below the download links. At regular intervals, we will notify department contacts when new holidays are available.

Instructions for Importing UCSB Holidays into a Resource Agenda

  1. You must be a Designate for the resource. If you are not, configure the Access Rights of the resource account to make yourself a Designate with Viewing rights.
  2. Download the file for the appropriate academic year and holiday entry type (the links are shown above) to your workstation. You will need to unzip each file that you download.

Special note to Mac users: you must do steps 3, 4 and 5 without doing anything else (not even changing the view) or the import will fail.

  3. Log into CorporateTime as yourself.
  4. Open the resource as a Designate:
  5. Under the File menu, select Agenda, then Open As Designate, then the resource name, then OK. (the title bar of the window that opens should include “(designate)”.
  6. Import the holiday data:
  • Under the File menu, select Import Data …, then “vCalendar file”, then Continue.
  • In the “Import” section, uncheck “Tasks” (“Meetings, etc.” should stay checked).
  • In the “Period” section, select “All”.
  • In the “File Name” section, click on the “Browse” button and browse to the downloaded and unzipped file on your workstation.
  • Select a file to import and then “Open”.
  • Select “OK”.

You should briefly see a progress indicator as the data is imported.

Window users will see a message saying “All data was transferred”.
